Sugar Bush School Groups

FIELD TRIP TO THE SUGARBUSH

Come out to the farm to experience sugarbush 2026.
This once a year Canadian tradition doesn’t last long as
winter gently eases into spring. Take a wagon ride out
to the sugarbush to see how maple syrup is made.

  • Visit the historical barn yard, with lots of friendly animals and the popular kids barn
  • Step back in time with a guided tour of the pioneer farm house from the 1850’s.
  • Take the wagon ride out to the sugarbush to see how maple syrup is made. The kids are welcome to help collect the sap when the weather is right. Sap flow is completely weather dependent, +5 degrees and sunny are the best days to collect. If it is too cold the sap will not be running.
  • School groups are being offered every Thursday & Friday
  • 2.5 hour visit maximum, arrival time between 9am-10am.
  • The farm is conveniently located in the city at 670 Cedarview rd.

Here at the log farm, we only use pails on our trees, all our sap is collected by hand. We offer a special hands-on experience for our guests. You and your family can help gather the sap around the sugarbush. The kids love running from tree to tree looking for a pail with some sap in it!!!

Please remember that the sap flow is completely weather dependent, +5 degrees and sunny are the best days to collect. If it is too cold the sap will not be running.
