Come play at the Farm! Rain or shine. You can arrive anytime during your session (morning 9am-12pm/ Afternoon 1pm-4pm) When your session has come to an end, we do ask that you promptly head out so that we can allow the following group in.
The entire experience is outside and we limit the number of guests during each session so that you can spread out and enjoy your time at the farm! Lots of animals to see, feed and touch. Hay play structures to climb and explore. The kid’s barn has some imaginary play areas and the famous corn sensory table. Take walk in the woods, bring some snacks and enjoy the picnic and play area. Relax and enjoy the outdoors while you explore and play down on the farm.
The Log farm is part of Ottawa’s history, the farm was originally settled in 1854 and the home and farm buildings were built over the next few years. You can walk through the original home of the Bradley’s and take in how they lived right here over 150 years ago!!
We’re currently working on a plan as to how and when our reopening of the farm area will happen. We want to make sure all protocols are followed to make sure we get this right, so please stay tuned…
But for now, and right through October, you can stop by every Saturday for our Farmers’ Market. The market runs from 9am-2pm and is located right beside the main parking lot. We are so pleased with the growth of our market family this year with an average of over 30 vendors each week there is something for all. As always there is no admission to shop the market and parking is free. For more information on our vendors please follow this link https://barrhavenfarmersmarket.com/vendors/
As a family we are very excited about the 2021 season. We started the farmers’ market as part of our plan to demonstrate to people where their food comes from.
The Log Farm is not only a fun place to visit but an actual operating farm. Over the past couple of years our market has grown steadily and last year was especially encouraging as more and more people recognized how important and rewarding it is to support and buy local.
We are thrilled that we will have more than 30 of the best vendors every week this year. Mostly all of last year’s vendors are back along with lots of new ones.

With all the new restrictions in place here’s what we know… We can still operate carefully while managing the numbers to allow for plenty of distance between families. Unfortunately there are no tickets available to visit the farm site this weekend but our shop is open Friday – Monday 9:00am – 4:00pm stocked full with delicious 2021 Maple Syrup and other great homemade and handmade local items.
I know it’s been a very popular question lately and the answer is now YES! Our 2021 Maple Syrup is ready for sale. We’ve been hard at work making syrup for a few weeks now and the biggest holdup was getting bottles, but they came in and now are filled with fresh 2021 syrup. The gift shop is open this Friday April 2nd- Monday April 5th from 9:00am – 4:00pm. No tickets or reservations required to shop and always lots of free parking.
For those of you inquiring about deliveries, please stay tuned after Eater weekend for details and our schedule. Hope you all have a safe and Happy Easter!
This spring we are expecting chicks, piglets, lambs, bunnies, goats kids, baby alpacas and a calf from our cow! These babies will be arriving from April to mid June. We will make announcements of the births on our social media accounts so be sure to follow us there!!
Limited tickets available, we will be restricting the number of guests per session for your safety and enjoyment. Easter activities will take place around the farm. The Easter egg hunt is included in your admission. Easter weekend Activities: Easter egg hunt in the forest Visit the farm animals, Goats, Sheep, Cows, Horses, Alpacas, Piglets and of course the Bunnies 🐰 Kids play area
How the Easter egg hunt works. Colourful plastic eggs will be scattered down the walking trail through the forest. Participants are encouraged to bring their own basket to use as they collect eggs along the trail. Please remember that it is not a race and it doesn’t matter how many eggs you collect, the eggs that you have gathered are then turned in and exchanged for an Easter treat. Once you have collected your eggs and received your treat we ask that you clear the area in order to make room for more guests to hunt for eggs.
As a family we have decided that we unfortunately will not be able to offer our sugarbush program for 2021.
We know this is disappointing to all including ourselves. After exploring many different options we just don’t feel with current conditions that’s it’s logistically possible to offer a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests and our staff. Our family will be continuing to produce maple syrup, which will be offered for sale as soon as the weather allows.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the farm for an Easter celebration starting March 27th. More details to follow shortly.
